MOUNTAIN LION HUNTS

Mountain lions are one of Colorado's most aggressive predators. Without managing predator population, our deer and elk herds would vanish. Rugged Rack Outfitters offer fully guided mountain lion hunts from Dec. 1- March 31. These hunts are nothing like deer or elk hunts and can be rated on a scale from mild to excruciating. They start early in the mornings and are usually weather dependent, being more successful after a fresh snow. It is not uncommon for the weather to be in the negative digits.  Highly trained hound dogs are used during mountain lion hunts to help track and locate the animal.

Food and lodging are not included in this particular hunt price. Reason being is that we hunt a HUGE area of land expanding over western Colorado. We will more than likely relocate to different areas, leading to multiple hotel changes. The hunter is responsible for his and/or her food and hotels.
